Teaching American
Government
Since 1998 Dave has
been teaching American Government--For Real!! to home schooled,
high school students. This live class is taught at
YEAH Academy,
in Roseville, Minnesota.
Dave is planning now
to launch Oxford National Academy to teach
this class to your high school aged students. To learn

ask about the online American
government class.
The course is divided
into two parts:

How government is supposed to work: The founding documents:
Northwest Ordinance, Declaration of Independence,
line-by-line study of the Constitution (originalist
version).

How governemnt really works: Political parties, lobbyists,
media, taxes, Medicare/Medicaid, how bills really become
laws, the activist court.
Someday - spring of 2012 - you might be able to enroll your high
schoolers in the online version.

Senate: An incredible high school experience
Graduates of the
American Government--For Real!! class are qualified to become
Student Senators. Student Senate meets during a 15-week spring
session, choosing critical issues to study, calling expert
witnesses, providing testimony, writing bills...and learning how
to lead. If
you live in or near Minneapolis or St. Paul, your high school
student could take advantage of this unique offering. Dave
hasn't figured out how to make it work online.
